In addition to our partnership with The First Tee, the College World Golf Championships Foundation, Inc. is proud to be associated with the Folds of Honor. This connection underscores our commitment to honoring the sacrifices made by military families. The Folds of Honor is dedicated to providing educational scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled service members. By aligning with this impactful organization, our foundation aims to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of those who have bravely served our nation. Through our combined efforts, we strive to create a lasting legacy that extends beyond the golf course, fostering a sense of community, support, and appreciation for the values that both golf and military service embody. Folds of Honor had an activation site on the 13th hole, signifying the 13 folds of the flag - signage included FOH scholarship recipients from schools that attended the Championships.
During the 2024 Championships, we welcomed the AFROTC Unit from San Diego State University. Our service members were featured during the live broadcast and performed the following: tending the flag on #18, retiring the flag, and performed a color guard ceremony during the national anthem.
Also during the 2024 Championships, we had a C-130 flyover from the 189th Airlift Wing out of Little Rock Arkansas Air Force National Guard.
We are so grateful for our service men and women! Thank you for your sacrifice!
